Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Synergy BMI for?
Synergy BMI supports adults who want expert, one-to-one help with weight management. Our services can be especially helpful for people using GLP-1 medication who want nutritional guidance, behavioural support, or both.
What support does Synergy BMI offer?
We offer one-to-one Nutrition Coaching with Registered Dietitians and psychological support with Accredited Psychotherapists or Psychologists. This allows you to get support with both the practical and emotional aspects of weight management.
Do I have to be taking GLP-1 medication to work with Synergy BMI?
No. While our support is highly relevant for people using GLP-1 medication, we also work with people who want specialist support with eating habits, behaviour change, emotional eating, and sustainable weight management more broadly.
What happens in a Nutrition Coaching session?
Your practitioner will explore your goals, eating patterns, lifestyle, and any challenges you are facing. If you are using GLP-1 medication, support may include meeting your nutritional needs, managing side effects, planning meals, and building habits that support long-term success.
What happens in a Psychotherapy session?
Psychotherapy offers a confidential space to explore the thoughts, emotions, habits, and life experiences that may be affecting your relationship with food, weight, and self-esteem. Sessions are tailored to your needs and can help with emotional eating, anxiety, body image concerns, and long-standing patterns.
How do I book an appointment?
You can read about our practitioners, choose the service that fits your needs, and book a date and time online. Once booked, you will receive the details for your session.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people benefit from a single session focused on a specific issue, while others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. Your practitioner can help you decide what is most appropriate for your needs and goals. You can book a free introductory call with any practitioner before deciding whether to book a paid session.
Are appointments online?
Yes. Sessions are delivered online, making it easier to access specialist support wherever you are. Our practitioners offer times to suit your schedule.
